Halfback Clock Pass with Jamie Hamilton
A classic scrum half exercise…
The clock drill coordinates the scrumhalf pass with the brain as the working player must react to different instructions whilst executing a crisp pass.
This drill is also a good way of simulating a match where the angle of the 9 – 10 pass will change slightly at every breakdown, thus the feet placement must be slightly adjusted for every number on the clock.
Although the video doesn’t address technique, the player in the video is a good example of an efficient scrumhalf pass, staying low, transferring weight, and passing in a straight line -not around his body. We like this video, we like this drill, we hope you do too.
